About Us
 Our Mission: Our Mission is to produce the finest quality Miniature Donkey stock available to Miniature Donkey Breeders.
Jim and Rhetta McAlister's ranch, Country Music Miniature Donkeys, is located
in the rolling Texas hill country in Spicewood, Texas, 30 miles west of Austin.
The McAlisters are fourth generation ranchers. They and their children have
raised and shown cattle, South African Boer Goats and world class Quarter Horses for more than
three decades.
The McAlisters have spent 18 years refining their Miniature Donkey breeding
program.
They are breeding outstanding show and breeding quality Miniature Donkeys.
Their herd sires,
Country Music's George Jones
(30"/dark brown) and
Country Music's Garth Brooks
(30"/dark brown) , have a band of 35 carefully selected
small (28" to 33") jennets. Each jennet has a lovely disposition, excellent
conformation and an extensive pedigree. This extensively researched breeding program yields proven top quality jacks and jennets

have sired 25+ National and World Champions at Halter and
Performance in four countries: Canada, Europe, New Zealand and U.S.
Each Miniature Donkey foal is carefully imprinted at birth and continues to receive daily
hands-on attention - haltering, tying, leading across obstacles,
handling of legs, hooves, ears and mouth, grooming, and acclimation to
electric clippers. Our program results in gentle, affectionate and well
mannered weanlings.
